Perfect Meditation

Just getting into yoga, a friend of mine turned me on to it. I sit down and relax. I take a few breaths. I try to free my mind of all thought. But, everything storms my brain.
It's funny. I feel like I'm not thinking about anything when I'm trying to think, then I think of everything when I'm trying not to think. I know what works best for me. It used to be just running water, so I bought a small waterfall. I tried music and meditation tapes. But, the crackling of the ventless gel fireplace in the background is what does it best.
I light the fire, turn on the waterfall and my home becomes like a camp. A middle of nowhere with a stream and a nice fire roaring behind me. The only thing it lacks are the mosquitoes that eat me up when I'm outside.
Before long, my mind is blank and my body is entirely relaxed. I'm breathing in a rhythym with a part of the world. The part of the world that is at piece with itself. 30 minutes later and I'm ready for the rest of the day. I'm new at this. But, it seems to fit me quite nicely. It's natural for me as long as I set my atmosphere right.
